Despite the cold winter’s evening, St Mary’s gave a warm welcome to villagers and friends who came to the wonderful candlelit celebration of Nine Lessons and Carols on Sunday 17th. The choir, organist and readers surpassed themselves in their telling of the Advent and Christmas story and the carved angels in the roof must have smiled with joy as the congregation sang out.
Many thanks to all those who helped to make this a memorable service which brought our community together in song and story. We are particularly grateful to Fearn for starting our service with the solo 1st verse of ‘Once in Royal’.
